On the 15th of February this year, Vistal Group started the main stage of the contract worth 75,5 million PLN concerning the construction of elements for the Statoil oil rig in Johan Sverdrup field. On this occasion, a ceremony was held at the Vistal hall at Hutnicza 40 in Gdynia. The ceremony was attended by the management of Johan Sverdrup project from Norwegian concerns Aibel (project orderer, leading supplier of structures in the area of oil&gas and renewable energy) and Statoil (owner of the drilling platform) as well as representatives of Vistal Group.

Within the framework of the project carried out for Aibel, Vistal Group will build elements of one of the three drilling modules that make up the Johan Sverdrup platform. The platform will operate on the Norwegian North Sea shelf and is part of one of the world’s largest current oil & gas projects.
