The contract was won, in consortium with Norwegian player HAK Entreprenør AS, as part of a public tender launched on the Norwegian market in 2016.  The total value of the contract is PLN 161.6 million net (NOK 332.5 million net). The value of remuneration from the aforementioned contract attributable to Vistal Gdynia SA is PLN 83.2 million net.

The contract, entitled ‘E6 Tana Bru Project’, consists of demolishing an old bridge and building a new one including a road. The project will be carried out in northern Norway, near Cape Nordkapp. The bridge over the Tana Bru River is a central junction point in Øst-Finnmark County and the largest bridge in the region.

General contracting is one of the pillars of the Vistal Group development strategy. Joining this phase of contract execution and the visit of our Norwegian consortium member in Gdynia is a very important event for us. Obtaining such a prestigious contract is an effect of many years of work, investment outlays and gaining experience in general contracting in Poland. It is another interesting engineering challenge for us. We have adequate technological facilities and specialized know-how to carry out such large and complex projects for even the most demanding markets, such as Scandinavia. We will use 2,700 tonnes of steel to build the bridge. It is a gigantic construction which will then be transported to the north of Norway by land and sea – says Ryszard Matyka, the CEO of Vistal Gdynia SA.

The bridge will be 14 m wide with a total length of 260 m. The span will be 234 m.
