Saturday (26.03.16) saw the successful completion of the loading of the Småpudden footbridge onto the ship that will transport it to Norway.  The three-stage operation began on Good Friday at the India Quay at the Vistal production facility. After loading the first sections, the ship sailed to the Hungarian Quay and then again to the Indian Quay on Saturday, from where it finally set sail early on Easter Sunday morning.

In a contract signed at the end of 2015 between the Bergen municipality and NCC, Vistal Gdynia is the steel structure contractor. The Småpudden drawbridge, with a total length of 154 m, will cross the Damsgårdssund canal. It will link two districts of Bergen and significantly improve transport within the city. Preliminary tests of the drawbridge mechanism and trial installation have been carried out successfully.
